Application

DD-1 type ground relay is a transient overcurrent relay used as ground zero sequence overcurrent protection for high-voltage three-phase alternators and motors in low-current grounded power systems.The relay coil is connected to a zero sequence current transformer (cable type, bus type, or a zero sequence current filter consisting of three phase current transformers). When the zero of the protected motor is grounded by impedance, the relay is connected to the differential loop of the converter.When the relay is connected to a zero-sequence current filter composed of three current transformers, the latching relay shall also be connected to prevent misoperation which may be caused by unstable current due to external traversing short-circuit.

Relays of various specifications have an impedance Angle of +35° when the coils are in series or parallel.

  • Rated current: 100mA, frequency: 50Hz.
  • Setting calibration error: no more than +6%.
  • Variation of action value: no more than 6%.
  • Return coefficient: not less than 0.5.
  • Power consumption: no more than 0.015VA at the minimum setting current.
  • Contact capacity: When the voltage is no more than 250V and the current is no more than 0.5a, the relay contact disconnect capacity is (5+0.75ms) 20W in the dc inductive load circuit and 100VA in the AC circuit.
  • Dielectric strength: The insulation between the relay circuit and the enclosure metal shall withstand the test of ac 50Hz and voltage 2000V lasting for 1min without breakdown or flash over.
